Project Change

‘Together We Will...Make It Happen. Building a Better Jamaica.

Project Change is designed for NCB employees across the island as well as employees of NCB Capital Markets and NCB Insurance Company. The project encourages our team members to spearhead activities in the communities in which our business operates.

How does the programme work?

Project Change will run over a period of six months starting November 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010.

  1. The branches/subsidiaries will first identify projects that will suit their communities’ needs and fall within the Foundation’s project scope.
  2. The projects should be short term/immediate needs such as school upgrading, donation of school equipment, etc.
  3. Branches will be required to submit their project outline and budget proposals to facilitate the implementation of these projects.
  4. The branches/subsidiaries will choose a ‘Change Ambassador’ who will serve as the liaison officer with the N.C.B. Foundation.
  5. Branches will then report on a monthly basis and follow-up with NCBF on their respective initiatives.

Projects should fall within the Foundation’s project scope, i.e., Community Development; Sports; Education - School Equipment and School Infrastructure. The branch which demonstrates the most community spirit will walk away with the coveted trophy at the Management Conference in October 2010.

Project Funds

Each branch/subsidiary will receive an allotment from the NC.B. Foundation based on its size (i.e., staff complement).

  • For a large branch (staff complement of 50 and over) – $200,000
  • Medium Branch (staff complement of 30-50) – $150,000
  • Small Branch (staff complement of up to 30) – $100,000
  • Subsidiaries (NCBCM & NCBIC) – $150,000

We encourage all branches to make Project Change a participatory process involving all staff. For instance, invite all staff members to submit an activity and the best project can be voted on by the all the team members within that branch and subsequently, put forward by the branch. So get ready, set and let’s Make it Happen!
